Wouldn't be a good alternative to use instead the checkbox a right-hand
click or something like that? Maybe I am the only one having issues with
this, but I would really appreciate if the checkbox is removed. The most
annoying thing is that the waterfall disappears immediately after
(accidentally) clicking the box. If it would be only re-scaled so what. It
was at least ten times that when the band was very I wanted to respond to
another station on a free DF frequency, but wanted to wait until the first
second to check if someone else is on this DF frequency. But as then the
waterfall suddenly disappeared all this information was gone and I had to
wait with my QSO. That's the main reason why I dislike the new checkbox.

However, please allow me one request: Could you please remove the "Controls"
checkbox from the DF scale of the Wide Graph window and put it elsewhere? I
am very often changing frequency just by clicking on the DF scale. But now,
the left part of the scale cannot be used for that purpose any longer, as I
am accidentally clicking on that checkbox and the entire waterfall graph
disappears.

Please put the checkbox somewhere on the Settings tab of the main window.

Hi Uwe,

sorry you are having issues with the new check box. It was added to try and
put an end to many issues with this facility to minimize the number of
widgets on the two main windows. I hope you realize that the mouse clicks on
the waterfall window can be made anywhere on the waterfall display or 2D
spectrum display and need not be restricted to the graticule area.
