Hi David,
this is the tool-tip for the "Pwr" slider, it is generated at the
current cursor position which was ok for when you adjust the slider with
the mouse pointer but is a little confusing when it gets adjusted by
other means. One of those other means is the facility to remember power
level per band which changes the slider position for every band change
and it also happens on start up. This will be improved soon, hopefully
before the next release. The remaining shadowed box is something related
to either the macOS graphics or the Qt framework we use for cross
platform graphics etc.. I will see if I can reproduce that and try and
find a workaround.
