> 1. In contest it might be best not to require clicking "OK" to log each
QSO. Instead, log the contact automatically when we receive or transmit RR73
or 73.

YES, but optional in Files/Settings/Advanced (or perhaps a whole new Contests
tab). Isn't that what 'Prompt me to log' is supposed to already accomplish?

   > 2. We need to implement a simple way for a "Run" station to queue up the
next station to be called, during a QSO already in progress. This could double
the maximum possible QSO rate.

YES! That was *really* slowing my rate last night.

   > 3. Activity during a real contest will not fit into a single 3 kHz
sub-band. We need to seek the best possible way to organize use of a wider
band, say 20 or 30 kHz, perhaps with dial frequencies spaced at
3 kHz intervals.

Concur, although there may be some additional whining from the combined crowd
of those who are anti-digital and those who complain that they can't chew the
rag on contest weekends. 20-30kHz might be bit too aggressive. Oh, well.
Remember poet John Lydgate's "You can please some of the people..."

   > 4. Would it be helpful to filter decoded messages so that transmissions
from already-worked stations don't appear in the left window?

B4 colored white on white and thus blanked for only that contest? Another
optional setting, but only on that particular band, of course. I want P49X on
each band as a multiplier. (Hi, Ed!)

   > 5. Should there be a convention that "Run" stations transmit in the 1st
sequence, S+P stations in the 2nd?

Hmmm. That would be an interesting thing for the next public test, with rc3.
With only the existing 3-4kHz window, the definitions of Run and S&P are
blurred in my mind.

Best 73,
John W7CD
