If the 7851 is like the 7300 then you have to be in USB DATA mode to transmit
over the USB interface.You should select Data/Pkt mode in the WSJT-X radio
settings.

We have an IC-7850 (same as IC7851) that is connected into a MicroKeyer II that
we cannot stimulate Tx-output-signal with… (though the Tx is triggering n the
radio) … Rx is a lesser issue !!!!
The Keyer is plugged into ACC-1.
We also have an IC-7700 we can get to function with WSJT-X… But the 7850 is
proving to be somewhat of a “Cow” to get it working with WSJT-X.
Restating what we do have - we can detect sound out of the Microkeyer via its
primary interfaces … We can Receive (IF bandwidths not set right now … but will
get there) from there into WSJT-X … We can trigger Tx from WSJT-X but with no
power coming out – hence the AF is not being modulated.
All Port settings on the radio are currently assigned to ACC-1 … and no power
still out !
There is almost no dedicated and reliable instructions on “The Net” for this
top-of-the-range radio, hence the request for me to ask here (at the highest of
levels of speciality).
Can someone that works on an IC7850/7851 with WSJT-X with PLEASE post back to
me (either directly via vk3sir @ hotmail.com or via the group for all-time
prosperity) settings for the 7850/7851…
Please only 7850/7851 users respond as instructions for other radios found out
there are unsatisfactory.
