Bill,

Thanks for that explanation. I realise its fairly early days and ok on the
current limited capabilities in this space.

To make contest mode more viable IMHO it would need to provide dupe feedback on
any callsign I selected at the time of selection for calling (in search and
pounce) or as I clicked to answer someone (at which point it should not start
the answer sequence without some sort of secondary input from the user).

It might also be important to be able to block callsigns from auto answer in
run mode (CQ mode) where you give up on a QSO but they keep trying but not
acknowledging you or simply keep calling without ever progressing. Even if it
is only a temporary "sin bin" of perhaps 15 minutes.

I realise these now aren't bug reports but feature requests for a later
version. However, I feel that some of these fundamentals will be important for
this to be considered by serious contesters.

Regards,
Grant VK5GR

Hi Grant,

currently WSJT-X can only help you with detecting dupes when they call
CQ . To get this working you must move aside your wsjtx_log.adi file
(you will want to put it back after the contest). Then in
"Settings->Colors->Decode Highlighting" enable just the "New call on
band", "My Call in message", "New DXCC on band", "CQ in message", and
"Transmitted message" colours. "LotW User" is optional. Check the
"Settings->General->Show DXCC, grid, and worked-before status" option.

Then work anyone who decodes with a colour highlight other than the
green CQ colour.
