What do you mean "cat command to both instances"? I guess you mean both
instances controlling the rig? If you're doing different bands that makes no
sense.On the other hand if you use FLRig you can have multiple instances of
WSJT-X all talking to the rig.

This will create 2 instances of the program. In my case band1 uses the left
audio channel, and band2 uses the right audio channel, corresponding to the
main and sub VFOs on my IC7610.
I have not yet figured out how to get the CAT commands to work with both
instances.
