I recently moved my station over to using a Raspberry Pi 4 (4GB model) as my main computer with WSJT-X. I have two bugs to report.
1. I've experienced a bug where when using FT4 (although it happens infrequently in FT8 as well) where the program does not process/acknowledge responses. For example in this exchange: 231937 Tx 1050 + CQ K5JCJ EM12 231945 -8 0.0 1050 + K5JCJ W8VVE EM98 231952 Tx 1050 + CQ K5JCJ EM12 232000 -6 0.0 1050 + K5JCJ W8VVE EM98 232007 Tx 1050 + W8VVE K5JCJ -08 I have Auto Sequencing enabled. W8VVE's response to my CQ came in when it decoded the received signals, but the program ignored his response to my CQ. Only after manually clicking on his message did the program "auto sequence" and formulate the response to TX. This happens no matter what decoding speed is set (Fast, Normal, or Deep). This bug is affecting me about 50% of the time in FT4, but in FT8 it's rare. The bug did not occur in any of the -rc releases that I tried. 2. The second and more concerning bug in FT4 is that on rare occasion the program will TX my messages in the wrong time period over the other station. I will try to save a screen capture next time it happens, but it's happened to me twice since 2.1.0 was released. - My Program version = 2.1.0 for armhf/Raspberry Pi - Operating system = Raspbian running Linux Kernel 4.19.57-v7l+ Thank you and 73, John K5JCJ -- John "Jay" Crutti Engineering Manager Knight Electronics (504) 913-6784 personal cell www.jaycrutti.com
