Brilliant ! >From an operational perspective the early start of decoders and dispatching of >the "easily decoded" first - leaving later decoding for weaker signals appears >to have improved the ability of the software to pick out stations much better >in this far-away town in a far-away land that is 200km away from any >population centre greater than half a million people ! Initial observations of what I see on 20m operating FT8 "deep decoding" with "AP" mode suggests that the decoder is picking out considerably more signals and more reliably than observed with previous versions. I have made one successful but messy contact here from VK3 into BX5 on 20m - but propagation is not properly with me yet and there are obvious "waves" of QSB; propagation will not be reliably allow Trans-Pacific work for around another 30 minutes or so yet this time of the year. Brilliant. Thoroughly brilliant work to achieve this at a programming and technical standard by the Core Development Team. Again well done to the team. I'll post more observations as I see them ! 73 Steve I VK3VM / VK3SIR _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
