Hello,
Id like to bring an item to your attention, in case you are not aware.

While recently using WSJTX 2.2.2 and prior, for WSPR reporting along with an
SDR Play RSP2, I had setup band hopping and one day noticed an exceptional and
unusually high spot count on 30m (very optimistic numbers for my QTH and for
anyone close by.

I had found that the controlling VRX of the SDR was not set to a wide enough
bandwidth and when WSJT hopped tot 30m, the frequency for the SDR Play did not
change and stayed on 20m.

As a result, it uploaded all of my 20m spots as 30 m spots.

Today I noticed the same phenomenon happed to WD4ELG. BY 8am he had accumulated
over 325 40m spots which is at best, highly optimistic as the best spotter of
the world had only reported just over 170. This again happened with his 30m
spots number a few hours later.

Obviously this presents significantly skewed data to WSPR.net and other
reporting channels.

Possible solution:
I noticed that the frequency display window of WSJT changes color when it does
not match the receivers (or rig) frequency.
Is it possible to have this color change indication of WSJT frequency display
window ( or some other indication of frequency band mismatch) disable WSPR
spots from uploading ?
It would make sense that this be hard coded and not a selectable option.

Thank you

Tom
