Thank You Bill
Many of us were running into issues during the contest. Would be
helpful if the NA version would do six digit grids.
Thanks Again,
Cheers and Beers

Hello Everyone,
Trying to run the ARRL 222 and up contest that requires six digit
grid. I have the EU contest selected as it does the 6 digit grid, but
stops decoding after the tx1 message. I see others are having the same
issue in the contest. Unfortunately no other real options for 6 digit
exchange exists.
Any suggestions?

Hi Phil,
to fix a problem with EU Contest mode we had to make a breaking
change in the protocol. If you or your QSO partners are not using
WSJT-X v2.2.0 or later then some of the exchange messages will not
decode.
From the v2.2.0 release notice:
- New format for "EU VHF Contest" Tx2 and Tx3 messages When "EU VHF
Contest" is selected, the Tx2 and Tx3 messages (those conveying signal
report, serial number, and 6-character locator) now use hashcodes for
both callsigns. This change is NOT backward compatible with earlier
versions of _WSJT-X_, so all users of EU VHF Contest messages should
be sure to upgrade to version 2.2.0.
