For the 222 and up contest last weekend a friend had over 40 MSK144 decodes trying to complete with a distant station but that station was not able to decode on his end. Both were running 2.2.2 and in EU VHF contest mode with 6 digit for grid configured.
Here is his summary posted today: "..It all worked in EU contest mode and logged to N1MM without a hitch except for the MSK144 WSJT got hung up in TX2 in EU mode. Needed to switch to NA and send 6 digit in the free message..." In Florida almost all of us had switched to EU VHF contest mode and had success getting the 6 digit grids OK. Not sure what hung up n TX2 mode was and why it was not advanced manually, or maybe he meant the other end never decoded the message so could not advance. This is all I know about the problem, if there is one. Could be worth a look. Most of the contacts were FT8 so not a lot of run time on MSK144 in EU mode for us.
