Hello I thought I would check here to see if the issues I am having
was a known issue or some sort of mis-configuration on my part I am
running WSJT-X version 2.1.2_2 ported for FreeBSD 12.2, I have also
reached out to the port maintainer and am awaiting a response..
The first doesn't seem to cause any issues that I can tell but I'm
sure it shouldn't be happening..
ALSA lib pcm.c:8251:(snd_pcm_recover) underrun occurred
Everything I have found says something about the software isn't
sending audio to the sound device fast enough I'm just not sure how I
would go about correcting it, this one usually occurs when
transmitting only at the start of each transmission.
The next error is usually when the program crashes, typically when
attempting to change modes or trying to double click on a different
station than the one I was previously transmitting to.

Fortran runtime error: Actual string length is shorter than the
declared one for dummy argument 'msgsent' (-4294967274/22)
Sometimes when this occurs I can remove the WSJT-X.ini file and re
run the setup which fixes it for a while then it starts happening
again.. now it seems to happen more often than it doesn't .
in any event if someone has any suggestions it would be much
appreciated.. thanks again.
Jason.
Hi Jason,
thanks for subscribing to the list.
For the second issue I think it is an incompatibility with some of our
code and recent versions of the Fortran compiler. We are addressing
those issues but the fixes are not yet released.
