3) It would be good to migrate the git repo to github/gitlab as those
infrastructures provide a way better possibility to cooperate without
forcing us to subscribe to some mailing list to only report build
issues. emails are not the best form of tracing some conversations
across different BTS automations.
4) Please try to avoid using characters like "-" version string as
none of the package software allows use of that character in version
string. The best method to release some pre/rc release would be for
(as git tag) "2.4.99" or as "rc1/2.5.0")
