Echoing earlier comments that Bill (sk) said that these short 'dropouts' do not matter. He told me once that they may not even be dropped samples at all, and could well be an artifact of the way they are measured.
Sometimes the dropouts can be several seconds or more, in which case it is likely that the period in which they occurred may not decode.
