Hi Reino.. The connection doesn't go threw Its just a waste of the operators time. Right now they can choose in 10 item increments up to 50 but they really want a longer buffer to work some of the older mults that pop up..

Hi Rick, Of course, you or somebody else could study the source code and find out the length of the Band Activity buffer, but I have a feeling that it is much longer than any typical contest operation is needing. Unfortunately, my remote connection to my recording rig is currently broken and I cannot see how long it can be in practice. I am not sure whether the length also depends on the ‘Start new period decodes at top’ setting. What happens, when you N1MM tries to call a too old line in the Band Activity window? 73, Reino OH3mA From: Rick Ellison via wsjt-devel <wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net> Sent: Sunday, June 29, 2025 10:32 PM To: Dan Coughlin <hotolds...@hotmail.com>; WSJT software development <wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net> Cc: Rick Ellison <rickn2amg1...@outlook.com> Subject: Re: [wsjt-devel] WSJTX Scroll Back Amount.. No that won't work. When N1MM sends a message to WSJTX the call and data string must match a listing in the Band Activity window. So I need to know how much the buffer holds to make sure the Call and Data String are available in that window to call a station. 73 Rick N2AMG ------ Original Message ------ From "Dan Coughlin" <hotolds...@hotmail.com<mailto:hotolds...@hotmail.com>> To "Rick Ellison" <relli...@twcny.rr.com<mailto:relli...@twcny.rr.com>>; "WSJT software development" <wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net<mailto:wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net>> Date 6/29/2025 1:21:32 PM Subject Re: [wsjt-devel] WSJTX Scroll Back Amount.. Everything is available in the all.txt file found by selecting <file><open log directory> in WSJTX If what you seek is not viewable in the band activity window, you'll have to look there. ________________________________ From: Rick Ellison via wsjt-devel <wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net<mailto:wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net>> Sent: Sunday, June 29, 2025 1:01 PM To: wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net<mailto:wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net> <wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net<mailto:wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net>> Cc: Rick Ellison <relli...@twcny.rr.com<mailto:relli...@twcny.rr.com>> Subject: [wsjt-devel] WSJTX Scroll Back Amount.. I'm curious what the scroll back length of the Band Activity window is?? A user asked about making changes to the Band List in N1MM and I want to make sure it matches the scroll back in WSJTX. 73 Rick N2AMG
