The issue seems only on the MacOs. Under 3.0.0 the developer still used the dmg to install on MacOs. Under 3.0.1 they switch to a PKG install. The grid.dat file is missing under ~/Library/Application Support/WSJTX-X. I copied the grid.dat from 3.0.0 resources dir to the above dir and the grid to State is now working.
