We are trying to use secure webservice, but kinda stuck. Hence looking
for help.
We are using JDK1.3 on our production environment. We have used Axis1
1.2 to generate src code from WSDL & XSD provided. For security, we are
trying to use wss4j1.5.1, but that's not working somehow. Initially,
tried Merlin for signature, but that's not compatible with jdk1.3, hence
moved to BouncyCastle. It's still giving errors that its not able to
initialise some classes / method not found, etc.
The WS server-side code is running on JDK1.4. Hence that team simply
used Axis2 with Rampart for security.
In one of the website, we read that wss4j can be used with JDK1.3 with
some modifications.
Please guide us on:
1. Can we use wss4j1.5.1, BouncyCastle with JDK1.3?
2. If yes, then how?
