I've opened https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=145090 with steps to reproduce last Friday. I ran WTP with Yourkit and believe ...wst.web...ComponentDeployable is responsible for the slowdown.

Hi Igor,

There is currently no way to disable the change listener, and it hasn't been a priority since all of the servers currently in WTP rely on it. That said, 10s is extremely long to figure out what has changed within a project, even given the size of project you typically throw at it. Please open a bug and between myself and the J2EE team we should be able to figure out where the problem is. If you can attach a sample project or workspace that shows the behaviour it would really help.

Thanks,

        [wtp-dev] way to suppress ServerPublishInfo

Hello,

Is there a way for server plugin to suppress maintenance of
ServerPublishInfo? ServerPublishInfo#hasDelta takes 10+ seconds on my
workspace (again) and as you probably know this method is called from UI
thread for every resource change event. Very irritating.
