Hi David,

Thanks for the information. It is helpful.
I would say that the proposed changes make sense, however our
anticipation was that during the API freeze the plugins and features IDs
should not be changed as well. The plugin IDs are also public and in
this sense they are some kind of API.
I'm sure the adopters that are developing on top of the release
candidates will appreciate if in the future this changes are done
earlier.

Thanks,
Rado

Thanks very much for keeping us aware of your needs.

There are two bug you should add yourself as a CC list listener:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=181362
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=176492

The first one is the larger change, we plan to move some JSF plugins
into some JST features and create a new feature for the web page
designer.
(hence, 5 features will be "removed" and one added) even though, I want
to emphasize, this is just the feature definitions ... the end result is
the same
executable code.

The second one won't change any features but _might_ change some
'includes' vs. 'requires' relationships (I don't think so ... just
mentioning it as one of the
feature related changes we are making). I think this is only a matter of
changing out site.xml file to allow people to install XML Editor
separately. Just a few
more tests to do before rolling out.

These changes should in our code in a few days, and in RC3.

Please raise any issues or concerns in the bugs, so we can be sure to
track them.

Thanks,

[wtp-dev] Feature/plugin structure of WTP

Hi all,

I want to ask you whether you plan to make changes in your feature and
plugin structure in the next RCs. My interest is because the specifics
of our build infrastructure. So in order that you add/remove some
feature, or rebase plugins between the features, we need to know about
this in advance. At least we have to be informed in order to check about

Thank you in advance,
