Hi,
Since the beginning of WTP the server framework (wst.server and
jst.server) has been based on Java 1.4. Since Java 5 is now dominant and
prereqs like facets have already moved to Java 5, it's time for us to move
too. Starting in WTP 3.0 M2, the server framework will move to Java 5.
This change will not affect API or other usage - it is a largely internal
change that will allow us to make use of Java 5 features and type safety
in collections. We have no known adopters still using 1.4, but if you have
any comments or concerns, please visit bug 201570.
