Hi All:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=474741

I'm wondering if anyone has the time to investigate the above issue, which regards the XML validation not following redirects when a server has indicated that an upstream XSD file has moved.

I feel this is an issue that affects more than just our tools. As companies get bought, or webserver filetrees change, resources from example projects (from ALL vendors) often get moved around, leading to xml files in these examples to show validation errors. As of now, this is one of the most common causes of validation errors that we've found, and a source of a huge amount of confusion for users.

Is this something that'd be able to be fixed with a reasonably small amount of work? Or is this something that'd require more work than one would assume?

Thanks in advance.
