Gorkem,

The WTP PMC discussed the need for a version change in our last PMC
meeting. The decision was made that it is correct for JSDT to do a major
version change, but that WTP as a whole will still be shipped as 3.8.0 for
Eclipse Neon. If you feel that there is a strong need for WTP to do a
major version release, then we can discuss this further in our next PMC
meeting. Thanks for making sure that we are aware of this concern.

Sincerely,

- Carl Anderson
WTP Releng project lead (and elected, but not approved, WTP PMC Lead)

Hi,
I would like to discuss if we need to make a major version change to the
next version of WTP.
In JSDT and SSE we are adding a few major features, you can see an
outline of changes in [1].
Since these are major new features and will possibly introduce breaks in
both functionality and APIs.
We are planning a major version change to JSDT[2].

I am not sure if there are other sub-projects with major changes. (I
heard that Dali may have some) but
would like to hear others' opinion
