The support for working with events in Ruby's WIN32OLE library is extremely limited.

You can take a look at the code for IE#capture_events -- this pretty much pushes the limits of what you can do with events using the current WIN32OLE implementation. Undoubtedly, .Net gives much better support for COM.

It would be really cool if someone were to beef up the WIN32OLE library to provide better support here -- this would require some C programming.
