The current Watir couples with the Automation model inside Internet Explorer. I researched how to perform the equivalent with Konqueror, and this thread contains Koos Vriezen's code sample showing how to do it: http://63.238.77.251/?l=kfm-devel&m=108773403712906&w=2 However, I'm not sure how close that will come to IE's Automation model, so you might find yourself wrapping and adapting for a long time. Why not use Selenium?
