Actually, there's A LOT of volunteering to be done. Marilla has also asked if anyone can help with "nut raking" on Thursday evening around 5,time to be confirmed.
We're helping with Marilla because they're giving us a lot of stuff to mark ours (tape, barriers, posts, etc). They're setting up their tape on Friday, and we'll need to setup most of the course IMMEDIATELY after the Saturday race, which means helping tear down the Sat course too. You really shouldn't consider it an option to help, being on a team isn't all fun and games. Ya, we don't have to drive 6-8hours to the race, but probably spend 3-4hours setting up a course. If you haven't seen a CX course, there's a lot of tape involved (on the order of 1.5 to 2miles of caution tape to be strung and 200-400 posts) -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Fastest Fat Kid Sent: Monday, October 25, 2010 12:47 PM To: WVU Cycling Subject: [WVU Cycling] Re: Meeting reminder, Wed 8pm Mountaineer Rm To give everyone a heads up, my backseat is completely full of course marking materials. That being said, we'll be needing help setting up the course. Keep your schedules clear for friday afternoon and after the marilla race so you can help. If there are alot of ppl there it won't take long.
