HTML WG,
The CDF WG has a dependency on XHTML Basic 1.1 and also relies on the script element.
Section 1.3.2 (http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Group/2006/WD-xhtml-basic-20060329/#s1.3) of the latest draft states that the script element is not supported.
The CDF WG would like to ask that support for the script element be required because we rely on it for event propagation in the WICD framework and there is a WICD Profile for Mobile which has as a prerequisite XHTML Basic 1.1 (http://www.w3.org/2004/CDF/specs/CDR/wp-1/cdf.xhtml#event-propagation)
