W3 Validator Error

The XHTML1.1 DTD is out of sync with the prose requirements for 
xsi:schemaLocation.
I've added 
"|xsi:schemaLocation=*"*http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/SCHEMA/xhtml11.xsd""; to the
<HTML> tag of my website, as stated in the XHTML1.1 Documentation 
(http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/conformance.html#strict).
The validator says |"there is no attribute "xsi:schemaLocation"".
