Making this change won't mean that wwwoffle doesn't adhere to the
standards anymore; if it did, I wouldn't suggest doing that.
The change will let it serve more types of clients while still adhering
to the standards, so why not? Do you want "them" to be able to say:
"Free software is junk, it can't even be used with the browser 95%
of the people use"?  I don't; show them that free software works
perfectly, even when presented with junk clients.

Perhaps detect IE, then first serve a page that shows "your browser does
not comply with standards; compensating..." and refresh that after 2
seconds with the real page :-)


And while we're advocating standards: how about RFC1855, Richard?
