Hello, may be I'm asking something trivial or even off topic, but nevertheless - thank you all in advance for your help!
The situation: - Browser on 192.168.0.1 (machine corsica) - WWWoffle proxy on 192.168.0.222 (machine capri) Each attempt connecting to the proxy results in the message: Feb 7 02:51:18 capri wwwoffled[21396]: HTTP Proxy connection rejected from host ::ffff:192.168.0.1 (::ffff:192.168.0.1). That looks something strange to me since the re-connect to my Browser doesn't succeed for wwwoffle. My hosts.allow and hosts.deny are both empty on machine corsica and so all connections on all services should be allowed on host corsica. So, could it be a misconfigured wwwoffle on host capri that leads to a "wrong error message"? If not, what can be done on the Browser's host? BTW: A local proxy on corsica is working well. I switch it off while trying to work with the remote proxy. Best regards Thomas
