dnrd works like a cache only name server, resolv.conf must contain localhost as DNS server and the script in /etc/ppp/ip-up reconfigures dnrd daemon to point to DNS's ISP.
Not sure, but if I remember correctly, I had to modify the dnrd ip-up script to fix a little bug.

When going online, ppp (or only kppp ?) exchanges the etc/resolv.conf, and since i use to dial into different call-by-call providers, wwwoffle somehow gets troubled with the DNS, showing the 'name authorative host failure' message.
