While we are on the issue of mapping two things to one, there should
be an mechanism to alias www.somesite.com to somesite.com or visa
versa at the very top most layers of wwwoffle, for some URL-specs.

Because over the years, links accumulate to the same file, but on
seemingly separate sites, meaning I get the file a second time for no
good reason often.

Sure it's all their fault and it wrecks the beauty of the web
hierarchy, etc. but I'm just trying to mirror the server's idea of how
the files are called.  Actually, as long as both addresses work,
people will link to either, so no amount of urging will stop the
phenomenon.

We probably would also need to merge already cached files into one
somesite.com directory.

Anyway, one can't just symlink the two directories in the cache and
solve the whole problem, as there are also the hashes to consider...
