Hmm, as wwwoffle users I suppose we want consistent colours to show the three states anchor-cached, anchor-requested, and anchor-not-cached, along with I suppose if we have read the page or not, which perhaps might be an additional tint from the browser. The anchor-* stuff is in wwwoffle.conf, and hopefully will conquer page authors' whims, yes, bad background color or not. The user stylesheet mentioned in the netnews article would probably conquer wwwoffle, so we wouldn't use that. Anyways, I just hope wwwoffle always has the final say in this link color mess.
