There are lots of places in WWWOFFLE where an error message that may
be due to a full disk are reported as such.  For example in
wwwoffles.c there are lots of messages like this:

        PrintMessage(Warning,"Cannot write to outgoing file; disk full?");

I don't know why you didn't see one of these errors in the case that
you are reporting.  Was the WWWOFFLE log file not being written
because of /var being full?
