I can assure you that WWWOFFLE does not care what referer you send to
it for any URL except for one very special case.  If the referer is
one special page in /info/* then the contents of the request are
displayed rather than the requested page.

I cannot reproduce the problem that you saw.  When I open the linked
page on its own or in a tab I get the same result.
