If there is a way of putting in the markers for the browser to insert
a break which does not add white space otherwise then I think that I
would generally be in favour of it. Do these Unicode characters cause
problems when viewing in any browsers for example text mode browsers?
I prefer this option to just taking out the punctuation and adding
spaces as Dan has suggested below.

Is the formatting really going to look much better if the frame has 10
lines of code added by WWWOFFLE than one really long one?

Are you asking that WWWOFFLE should insert line breaks into the HTML
that would not be there if WWWOFFLE had not "got its hands on it"?
The modifications that WWWOFFLE make to the source are the minimum
necessary. WWWOFFLE will not be putting in, or taking out, line
breaks in the HTML just for the fun of it or to make the source look
better.

This does mean though that when WWWOFFLE modifies the HTML (e.g. to
remove an image in the DontGet list) that it will insert a comment
saying that it has done this. This will make the line longer since it
does this inline without adding a new line.
