What's the point, M size or online costs ? I guess, finally, online costs = download time. So perhaps it's a good thing to focus on URL spec timeouts ? I mean, it the server isn't responding then you probably don't want to waste time and money either ?
btw. to please too curious surfers, i once set up a index page which loads and displays a dozen huge JPGs (about 30-50M each, and yes, stored locally). This site wasn't meant to be viewed, you know. And although we can assume 99.9999% of the web aren't that kind, the question stands which feature would prevent you from that. ° /\/
