WWWOFFLE will cache all of the requests that are made to it if they are for normal HTTP requests (GET/PUT/POST, not others) If the streaming mechanism does not use HTTP or is not configured to use the WWWOFFLE proxy then it will not be cached. > That said. > > I stumbled over the incredible 'Mad Max and the Wild Ones', > <http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=97871906> > and then wondered why the mp3 would not appear in the lasttime index ? > ok, i know, that would be too easy. It means that the flash player must be configured not to use a proxy. I don't know how requests are made by flash applets. Obviously the applet itself is requested by the browser over HTTP but the applet when it is running could use other mechanisms. You could use netstat to find out what host and port the applet is connected to when the data is streaming. If the applet is using an HTTP type protocol then you could set up an iptables rule (assuming Linux) so that all traffic to that server is redirected to WWWOFFLE. This would mean that all traffic would go via WWWOFFLE even if the applet does not know anything about proxies. > The http header exchange was, > > http://cache06-music01.myspacecdn.com/45/std_67306a9a95bc3960cc70f79c2c9bece2.mp3?bandid=97871906&songid=25831990&token=1169628826_fc25e088f25bf08cdb8d3607f3736cd8&p=aHR0cDovL2NhY2hlMDYtbXVzaWMwMS5teXNwYWNlY2RuLmNvbS80NS9zdGRfNjczMDZhOWE5NWJjMzk2MGNjNzBmNzljMmM5YmVjZTIubXAz&a=0 > > GET > /45/std_67306a9a95bc3960cc70f79c2c9bece2.mp3?bandid=97871906&songid=25831990&token=1169628826_fc25e088f25bf08cdb8d3607f3736cd8&p=aHR0cDovL2NhY2hlMDYtbXVzaWMwMS5teXNwYWNlY2RuLmNvbS80NS9zdGRfNjczMDZhOWE5NWJjMzk2MGNjNzBmNzljMmM5YmVjZTIubXAz&a=0 > HTTP/1.1 > Host: cache06-music01.myspacecdn.com > User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) > Gecko/20061205 Iceweasel/2.0.0.1 (Debian-2.0.0.1+dfsg-2) > Accept: > text/xml,application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,text/html;q=0.9,text/plain;q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5 > Accept-Language: en-us,en;q=0.5 > Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate > Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 > Keep-Alive: 300 > Proxy-Connection: keep-alive > > HTTP/1.x 200 OK > Content-Type: audio/mpeg > Etag: "8709648033400179290" > Accept-Ranges: bytes > Last-Modified: Tue, 31 Oct 2006 16:04:07 GMT > Date: Wed, 24 Jan 2007 16:52:46 GMT > Server: lighttpd/1.4.11 > Connection: close > Proxy-Connection: close > Content-Encoding: gzip > Transfer-Encoding: chunked This looks like the music (audio/mpeg MIME type).
