I will add this for the next WWWOFFLE release in the hope that it will
work as expected.

Perhaps "ignore" was the wrong word to use.  What the pdnsd manual
page actually says is:

              -4     enables IPv4 support. IPv6 support is
                     automatically disabled (should it be
                     available). On by default.

              -6     enables IPv6 support. IPv4 support is
                     automatically disabled (should it be
                     available). Off by default.

              -a     With this option, pdnsd will try to detect
                     automatically if the system supports IPv6, and
                     fall back to IPv4 otherwise.

I would hope that it rejects the request rather than ignores it.  You
would need to try it to find out.

We have no guarantee that the getaddrinfo() option will stop WWWOFFLE
(actually the libc resolver library) from making the requests.  If you
can stop the requests locally then it would help you especially if you
cannot unconfigure all local IPv6 interfaces.

No I don't plan on adding the persistent connection feature (although
other parts of HTTP/1.1 are supported, persistent connections are only
one part of HTTP/1.1).  The code is all written to handle a single
request in a single instance of the program.  To re-use the connection
would require a lot of changes and possibly a large re-organisation of
the program.
