My objective is to make more people know, like and trust Perl and Perl based solutions. In our case that means I'd like to have a lot of end-user tools and games on CPAN then distribute them to the desktop users. Different people will have different reasons to download the package. People who already know or learn Perl might want the editor. Others might want the games. Yet other will want some of the power tools. So in the case of Mastermind I'd like to both have a nice game and a way to show "you can do this with WxPerl". For this it is far less important if internally you are using threads or not. It is much more important for the thing to look nice. BTW There are all kinds of rule sets in Mastermind that I know of: 1) The number of slots 2) The number of possible colors 3) Can there be duplicate colors? 4) Can there be empty slots? It would be nice if at one point you could add all these options and maybe even figure out new ones. I liked the image you sent though I think I'd prefer to have only one side. regards Gabor
