Thanks for the speedy reply. Yes, I know it is officially the dev release, but
there are some features I want to play with that are not in 2.8 and the wx
people say it is stable enough to use for most projects. I have done a certain
amount with 2.8 previously but always on a system that had it installed
through binaries.
I took the entries for the version of wxWidgets built by Alien out of
ldconfig, updated and re-ran - same errors. I then removed the entire module
from the server, downloaded the svn copies of wxperl and Alien. Again, Alien
installed fine, no errors, but wxperl gave the same errors. I can only assume I
am missing a dependancy somewhere?
