Hi,

The binaries will be back soon - but not quite in a couple of hours.

I have a little confession. During the recent disturbance in the force that caused wxperl.co.uk to disappear for a while, I managed to trash all backups and code too :-)

The thing was the old infrastructure had a perfectly working backup and restore plan in place - but zeal in ensuring the old infrastructure was clean before dropping it coupled with an interruption to a manual process to transfer the remote backups to a new location .....

Anyhow, rebuilding the building processes for Cava, wxPerl PPMs and Citrus Perl from a local Windows checkout has been entertaining. I didn't really want to admit that I was the stupid person who stupidly did this exceptionally stupid thing. But on reflection I have decided that living a little is good so my advice to everyone is to live a little by logging in somewhere as root and running some random commands directly. All the better if some data that is personally important to you is at risk.

Back to Aspell binaries - out of the rubble I need to check that the local version of everything works ( that is, the patches + original source plus build scripts and instructions mean you can actually build the thing yourself ) so binary release will be delayed a short time until I can check that out.

Regards

Mark

Aspell 0.6.x binaries used to be hosted at http://wxperl.co.uk/aspell/, but
since the site underwent an upgrade those binaries are no longer
available. Is there a chance they could be re-posted?

Thanks much,
