But I can tell two (well, three) things: 1) I am seriously looking at OCaml - exactly because of my Perl way if thinking; 2) I am less seriously looking at Node.js - and also more seriously - because it is supported by the behemoth called Google; 3) a lady thanked me privately in a PM for trying to distract her away from Java in favor of something functional - she thanked me after finding a job requiring Scala. By the way, I stumbled upon an article explaining why OCaml on LLVM is much better performance-wise than JVM. I'll probably be able to find it again if anybody is interested.
