Hi Steve,

Don't get too excited for now ;) The repo I have setup is a perfect copy
of the svn one. I've set a script on a personal system to check the svn
repo every 2 hours for new commits which are then pushed to github. I am
using it by creating a branch where I can put my commits and merge them
back on future svn updates for later installs.

So, keep in mind that the svn repo is the _only_ official one. Although
we could easily switch to github if core developers do want this.

Some things to keep in mind:
- the svn repo holds several projects in which there is
Alien::wxWidgets, the demo project and some others. I can easily put
those on github too if wanted.
- the svn repo of wxPerl holds some more branches. As those are already
some years old, I didn't bother to bring them to github. I guess they
are dead-end. I didn't check the other projects for active branches.

I can check deeper into this if there is a demand from the core
developers / maintainers.

So, lets have a pull/discussion on this: Which developers want to move
the repo to Github ? Who doesn't ?
