I never used MacPorts and I am not even sure what is that. Whenever I need to install non-Mac things I use Homebrew which, if I understand solves the same problem in a different way. Do I understand correctly that MacPorts provides binary version of perl with its own wxPerl stuff? How would that go together with the perl I built with perlbrew?
