On my laptop, where the /usr X11 and X11R6 directories were savagely zapped without warning by the Yosemite upgrade, the above links were not created when I installed xQuartz. (2.7.7) On my Snow Leopard systems, since the old X11 was still in place, the above would not have executed. However, when I encountered problems on the server, I used the working Yosemite install as template and deleted the old /usr X11 and X11R6 directories since they didn't appear to be needed (which is when I saw foomatic start to fail). Obviously, I learned by myself those links are necessary for foomatic. But I am commenting since it wasn't made ovvious to me during the XQuartz install of the changes in directories and expectation to have that soft link from old to new. _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
