Hi, A colleague of mine is experiencing problems with Xquartz 2.7.8 and IDL <http://www.exelisvis.com/ProductsServices/IDL.aspx <http://www.exelisvis.com/ProductsServices/IDL.aspx>> both under Yosemite or El Capitan. The IDL application stops with the strange error message: > No matching pixelformats found, perhaps try using LIBGL_ALLOW_SOFTWARE > Abort trap: 6
I found that this message is described here <http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-commit/2014-May/049872.html <http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-commit/2014-May/049872.html>> I also found a related bug report : 92642 dated 23 oct 2015 The bug occurs with IDL 8.1 applications and Xquartz 2.7.8 on the web users report that the problem also exist with IDL 7.1 or 8.2 No problem with IDL 8.5 and Xquartz 2.7.7 IDL 8.5 and Xquartz 2.7.8 Is there any news about that bug or any workaround except installing Xquartz 2.7.7 instead of 2.7.8 ?
