As an additional question: A bit of reading and it appears that as of 1.17.0 , the defailt is not to listen to the TCP port 6000. (I have no idea if this applies to Xquartz)
Apparently, one is expected to add -listen TCP on the commad line that launches the xserver. Is there a bash file I can edit to add -listen TCP to the command that starts the X server ? or is that called from the Xquartz app and we have no control over it ? _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
