I've just upgraded from Lion, and I'm getting some strange problems with X11. The worst is the fact that I can't open anything except an xterm. Anything else results in:
rxvt: can't open display /private/tmp/com.apple.launchd.[...].xquartz:0 I've already tried the obvious: xhost +localhost with no results. I don't recall ever seeing this in X while back at OS X Lion. What's going on here, and does anyone know how to fix it? X that can't open X apps isn't X...and this is preventing me from using gvim, among other X apps. While I'm here, a second (semi-related) question: has the terminfo for xterms been screwed up since sometime after Lion? First issue is when I use, say, vim, and exit, I expect to see the closed vim session still on the screen, with my zsh prompt below it. Instead, I get the screen I had before. I had that fixed (custom terminfo code) in Lion, and I used to know what it was called ... but since my first cancer (which included three brain tumors/surgeries and radiation to the brain) my memory isn't so good. Any comments/suggestions greatly appreciated.
