I was the maintainer of FreeTDS for some years and I'm still the owner of [email protected]. Once and again someone writes to the list and the list asks for moderation. At some point they or I -- they think I, I think they -- lost track of my password, meaning I can't moderate messages, meaning I can't let them through or delete them, and can't stop the system from notifying me of them. To fix that, of course the do-it-by-email window has been closed. I have to log in. Kafke would nod. I wrote to the administrator-of-administrators, and never heard back. Doubtless no one ever read my message, possibly never saw it. Like so many systems, it's a zombie. No one can use it and no one can shut it down .
