Ubuntu Oneiric (current development release) already upgraded to perl
5.12 and perl-suid is now listed in the list of packages that aren't
built from any source:
http://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/nbs.html

It's to be expected that perl-suid will be removed from the archive in
the next few days/weeks.
